Binucleate Rhizoctonia Strain: A Potential Biocontrol Agent in Wheat Production

چکیده
As a polyphagous organism, Rhizoctonia is one of the most infectious soil-borne pathogens for many plant species. To reduce this threat to plants and hence provide good quality products end-user, it crucial develop sophisticated environmental friendly protection methods. One such method biological control using beneficial agents, e.g., microorganisms as bacteria fungi, but also mites or insects. investigate potential control, we present here study involving AG B0 (BNR), which binucleate, non-pathogenic against from same genus, namely, cerealis (AG DI) solani (AG5 1IC). This novel because relationship between plant-pathogen plant-non-pathogen interactions has received only limited attention. Once relative activities various defense mechanisms overall conditions were taken into account, binucleate strain was found lower impact pathogenic strain. We conclude that response genotype within context protective activity race-specific. The research showed ability successfully protect wheat R. negative impact, well in some cases solani.

Endophytic Bacillus subtilis Strain E1R-J Is a Promising Biocontrol Agent for Wheat Powdery Mildew
In this study, the biocontrol efficacies of 14 endophytic bacterial strains were tested against Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici (Bgt) in pot experiments under greenhouse conditions. Bacillus subtilis strain E1R-j significantly reduced disease index and exhibited the best control (90.97%). When different formulations of E1R-j were sprayed 24 h before Bgt inoculation, fermentation liquid without...
متن کاملProtease over-production in the presence of copper by a Trichoderma harzianum strain with biocontrol potential
The effect of copper on the production of extracellular trypsin-like proteases of Trichoderma harzianum T66 was examined. Trypsin-like protease enzyme activities were significantly enhanced in the presence of copper ion. It was demonstrated that instead of raising the activity of previously produced enzymes, copper ions are able to induce the secretion of extracellular trypsin-like proteases. S...

متن کاملDraft Genome Sequence of Cryptococcus flavescens Strain OH182.9_3C, a Biocontrol Agent against Fusarium Head Blight of Wheat
Cryptococcus flavescens strain OH182.9_3C (3C) is a novel biopesticidal agent that can be used to control fusarium head blight of wheat. Here we present the draft genome sequence for 3C, the first for the species C. flavescens. Additionally, several genes that may contribute to the biocontrol activities of 3C were identified in silico.
